A tip for the ladies who are considering to wear one yet finding it difficult to take the step..in shaa Allah 1.make your intention. 2. Try it out ..for a day or two in a week (before you know it, you will be used to it. 3...and finally there is so much variety out there.if black isnt your thing, try colour or a cut that is more like a dress than the normal abayas. I feel abaya actually does not cover your aura...Hi,
I feel abaya actually does not cover your aura' (arabic one). A lots of men from my non-hijab times times told me they find women particularly hot in those lustrous abaya, a sort of lingerie gown for them. Some fantasized that we don't wear anything underneath and so on. Anyway when I started donning hijab, I opted for a big chador, the big rectangular piece of cloth which truly hides the body form unlike an abaya. I truly found chador to be the true form of Islamic hijab. I'm an Arab so over my long dresses, I wear chador which makes me feel closer to our masters Khadija (ra) and Fatima (ra) than wearing a sort of attraction getting abayas.

My two cents.Manfhttp://www.mintpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298058514699884119.post-79634109549835001402013-07-08T12:40:09.614-07:002013-07-08T12:40:09.614-07:00I want to start wearing abayas but I'm not qui...I want to start wearing abayas but I'm not quite sure as of yet! Thanks for dropping you...Assalamualaikum sister :)

Thanks for dropping your comment here. Yes I do agree with you :) But I was curious as to why you feel I am reducing women to clothes and men to desire and pleasure? Like you said, yes it is absolutely unfair and I am totally against such concept. May I know what are the words I used that made you feel that way? Thanks! <3

Oh and about abaya, it's not really about the color but more to other functions really. I absolutely love abayas well because of the reasons I've mentioned above ^^ It's totally fine if you don't feel the same way.

When you said that 'I noticed from you´re blog in general that you consider a lot of things that women do fitnah and i´m afraid that you will get to the point where you will start to advice girls to not go out from their houses so guys won´t look at them. ' I am guessing you were referring to my post in which I wrote about my opinion that vlogging is for muslimahs right? I've actually deleted that post because I was reconsidering my views on that :)

I think it is right for me to correct your understanding towards my view, sorry if the message you received seems to be that way. My audience is generally women, so I write about female related matter. I believe you understand the concept of amar maa'ruf nahi munkar and it's obligation right? I do think that the reality is a lot of things that MUSLIMS do are fitnahs upon them. But because I'm a girl, and I write for girls, I try to correct whatever it is I feel that my muslim sisters are doing that MIGHT be a fitnah upon them. If I'm a guy, then I would discourage/share about the things that might be a fitnah upon them.

And I do feel that both men and women should only go out of the house when necessary or with a purpose. Not for fun because muslims should do everything to please Allah. Certainly I would never start advising girls to stay in the house so that men wouldn't look at them. Astaghfirullah that concept is just wrong. If I were to advise people on something it would only be to seek Allah's pleasure. Not because of men or not because of women.

To me I thought I made it very clear in each of my post is that the most important thing is whatever we do we should do so to seek Allah's pleasure. Not because of men or anything like that :) So of course we would try our best in that. And I am sharing about abayas is just because I think a lot of muslimahs in my country are so engrossed in fashion it is starting to get worrying. Clearly succumbing yourself in fashion is not an effort to seek Allah's pleasure but to seek our own pleasure.

Again I'm really sorry if that's the message that you received upon reading my blog. InshaAllah I will try to improve on that sister. Thank you very much for your opinion. Please do leave your comments on my future posts. I'd love to hear them :)

kayahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00550082897258235751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298058514699884119.post-29801239323358330452013-05-24T17:11:30.602-07:002013-05-24T17:11:30.602-07:00Hi sister! I just want to say that I´m sorry but I...Hi sister! I just want to say that I´m sorry but I really don´t like abbayas, one of the things that I always admire in malasian people is that they don´t make a big deal about women wearing colours, while in other countries is obligated because they see it as fitnah; I noticed from you´re blog in general that you consider a lot of things that women do fitnah and i´m afraid that you will get to the point where you will start to advice girls to not go out from their houses so guys won´t look at them. That is dangerous. In Islam men and women cover up (in different ways) to reach equality and modesty in the society, what´s most important is what we have in our minds and hearts. You are reducing women reality to her clothes and men reality to desire and pleasure and that is just not fair.
I hope you post or at least read my comment, please know that I do not pretend to ofend you in any way, but because you´re blog is public, any one can read it and get (what I think) a wrong idea of Islam values.Lilynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298058514699884119.post-12858571018512398502013-05-16T09:05:04.543-07:002013-05-16T09:05:04.543-07:00Do u know any shops/online shop that sell affordab...Do u know any shops/online shop that sell affordablr abaya?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298058514699884119.post-84992765271052065202013-04-29T23:50:33.760-07:002013-04-29T23:50:33.760-07:00I also have been trying to make abaya as my unifor...I also have been trying to make abaya as my uniform :) i love this post, i really do. i also hope for the same thing; more muslim girls would give abaya a try because it is so irresistible. -AmalinaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
